A anarachy meetings on Bikes..? I'min!

John took me to Critical mass today. After waking up, deciding to go with him, and then having a panic attack thinking about the fact that:
1. I have not cycled since I was 14 and even then it it was not on the streetsof London
2. Traffic. Me on an exposed metal device. Not liking the odds
3. The accidents that may happen. Seen way to many disasters when it was bikes vs Cars/Buses/Trucks..The out come is not pretty.
4. A huge crowd of people. Urgh

Anyway, John managed to convince me it was a good idea, and so I went off...

First we went to pick up a woman known as"Sane Becky". I have yet to meet "Starbucks Becky" to compare the two, but she was cool. A traveller it seemed, as she came back from Mexico and was making plans to go back there..

We had a practice round at John's before taken off to the Station, and onwards to Waterloo.

I managed to get 2 flat tires during that time. (Only me, I know!)

Critical Mass was okie. There wereabout 300 or so bikers of different ages and cultures. Once we all got going it was scary. A wave of bikers all blocking the roads was terrifying!
It was good fun though..I crashed twice and kept speeding off from the main group (Elise and Dan were there as well..)
Still, It was useful to see how it was building up my confidence on the roads and getting to know the gears..

We zoomed for about 4 hours around the west end, before the group split up into smaller and Smaller parts.
We decided to head off ourselves..Brought pop and chatted in Waterloo (Well they chatted..I was trying to catch my breath subtly to hide the fact I am really unfit)..

Still...Good night. Wooh

Triple Birthday love!

First off, let me say this:
Happy Birthday Darling Anna! Thanks for being there for me, thanks for being truly awesome and let us have a good time in East together!

Oh yes, It was Anna's Birthday and it happened in the heart of East London. It was awesome. As usual, I came round way to early in my heels and dress

The plan was to meet at Anna's, go to The star and then go off to rave at Trailer Trash..Still a fun time.
I got to meet Anna's lover Ross for the first time. He is lovely.I think I could listen to his voice the whole night..That is not a creepy thing to admit now is it..? Anyway, Sky the cute Japanese, Anna and Ross was mashing their birthdays together..Triple Birthday love!

The pub was cool. Anna knew the guy that owed it, so got a free room unstairs. About 50 Peeps came and soon all you could hear was the buzz of conversation..Yes, there was actual conversation..Even with the drinking going round. Soon after, Claude, Angel (cluade's close friend) and I went to Nandos to eat..We were kinda bored talking and I wanted some comfort food.

Tis all tasty, though we didn't finish all of it..Good job we didn't as the cake was cut and handed out. Brenda works in a bakery and managed to get such a nice cake. Truly it was amazing-Strawberry and Cream..Hmmm :) The party soon being herded towards the rave-Trailer Trash. It was hidden away, so it took us ages to find it. It was in a car park-the club was built around it. There was hay everywhere and a scary scarecrow on the stage.. Still it was a good night for a tenner. The music was so-so to my (indie trained) ears, but even I enjoyed it. The crowd seemed to be 30 something year olds, but as I knew a lot of Anna's friends it was not a problem. Anna was mental and danced like the queen she was. Claude sulked off as she wanted to go clubbing earlier and no one complyed (only to come back later). I was in a coma from coming straight from placement to the party, Brenda was the classic expression of "Grin and Bear it" asshe is more indie then me, and Angel was in her own world...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!

When love is not madness, it is not love.

Yes. John is back in my life. I foolishly let him back in. No comment please. As Pedro Calderon de la Barca said: When love is not madness, it is not love.

We met, he spoke. I forgive.

I have not forgotten the pain, and I won't forget the humiliation. His choice to try to tame my emotions and earn my trust..Everyone deserves a second chance right..?

Satori..how tasty

After a hard day of avoiding placement work and then going swimming with Smi in the Kingston Pools..

I was glad to go and eat.

Smi's housemate decided to go to Satori. It is a Japanese Resturant that is like Yo!Sushi- with a dearer price tag. It was good. I was happier when I discovered we get 20% discount being student. Gosh, I will miss that concept of the nursing course!

hmmm..Food is goodio

The French and the BBQ

Summer nights go hand in Hand with BBQ don't you think..? I do like the thought of it-and so did Claude it seems..She decided to have one and tell the guests to bring different food. I was the first to come, armed with meat and Vodka. The BBQ was harder to manage then we realised. It was either all in flames or nothing. We evenually managed, through trial and error to get it to cook the burgers we made. Just before the other guests arrived at any rate! It was a good night! Anna had got these really spicy Polish sauauages, Brenda raped her bakery with all the rolls she got, and there was enough cakes to impress an armyas well.

Jokes were exchanged and the usual topics of parties-people and relationships set the tone for the evening. I was disappointed to have to leave so early-Placement awaited me the next morning..-Sigh- C'est la vie huh..? :)

KU Pride London and all that goes with it..

Horror for most, fun times with me. Being stuck in the middle of a gay Pride festival with my Mother..
We witnessed these things:

At least she is liberal and not easily offended. Goddess knows I love my mum..:)

(And we went up there to eat. Food you pervs. I know what you are thinking!)

Mustard Bar and a double Birthday!

Fun times is always on the horizonwhen one hangs with certain people. In my case those people are Nash and Sunshine-Two brilliant friends from Uni.
They decided to have a joint birthday in a place called "Mustard Bar" near St Paul's. For a set fee, there was promises of male strippers, free drinks, a table reserved and the enterance fee included..

Everyone was invited, and it seems everyone turned up-even Dolly!

We sat around socialising..Smi and Kalpana did everyone's make up and Natasha took it upon herself to change my outfit, Dolly looked..well like a Dolly and Sarha laughed and danced.

It took a while before a cab was called and we piled in to go to the club. Between the cabbie lack of direction and Nash's harsh tongue, it took a while to get there. I was glad to pile out.

First impressions of the club was that it was overpriced. Music was okie, but the bar was a rip off. The company was ace though, and I stayed til the end. Belly came with Vince (though left soon after) and Smi had to go back to Kingston with Veronica.

At the end of the night I discovered I had forgot my purse so was near stranded. Thankfully there was a cool guy that give me a lift home with another friend (Of a friend). Whew. He lived really near me as well so was really nice.
Was glad to get into bed at the end. Drunk, tired, but satifiyed extremely..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASH!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARHA!
LOVE TO YOU BOTH :)
