A day and night in Camden Town...

Okie, so these last few days I had a reason to visit my old haunt in London. Glorious Camden Town. I had lunch, coffee dates and gigs. Almost feel like my old self a bit at that.

First time was with Vince. He likes Camden. I like Camden. Seemed like a great place to choose to meet and catch up. Bad plan for me though, as I came straight from John's and had heavy books, dirty clothes and my laptop. Note to self. Lugging around a giant rucksack makes wondering slightly difficult.
It was nice though. Brought a diablo from Oddballs, ate a lot of Camden style food and laughed with Vince at the "fashion" there. Bliss.

I went back the next day to meet my old Uni mates-Dolly, Smi and Sarah. All were depressed about work (or in Sarah's case lack of). Tis a hard life for us some times. We all were happy with catching up, being cam whores and eating in our favourite restaurant Max Oriental...

I was soon greeted by another friend: Cookie. It was good timing of her as the others left for new adventures in various London hangouts while I wanted to stay for a gig in Camden.
Cookie did seem to get on with Smi..At least Smi was making her giggle with talks of Clothes and accounting stories.
Bored with the shops, Cookie and I headed for Hampstead Health. The plan was to sit down in the green and have a hot drink. It was far to cold though to put that plan in action (In this weather? In this Country? What were we thinking?!), so we stopped into a quaint looking shop. It served good cake and was reasonable for the drinks. Plan B turned out to be not so bad.

Vince graced us with his presence in the evening..We meet at the World's End pub- Best one ever with this sign by the way:

and went straight on to the gig.

I saw one of the bands before-Molloy so I was happy. The lead singer Caz give me a big hug and it was nice to hear more of her life then just music based news. She was amazing on stage as usual!

Another band I grew to like was Slow Gun. I did make a prat of myself after with the Bass player- She was handing out badges and didn't hear what I was saying. Basically she thought I was a twat.

The other band was cute but boring to listen to. The name failed to register in my mind..Sad for them I'm sure.

Hungry after the music, I persuaded the others to go eat with me. I was going to have Chiense but the store for Falafels caught my eye. Managed to make a prat of myself for the second time that night.

Me: Do you do any veggie Falafels?
Guy: umm..Falafels are always Vegetarian
Me: But why does it say it has mince in it (pointing to the sign)
Guy: It says Mint, not mince.
Me: ....................I will have one then -Blush-

To top it all off, after I got the damn thing, I hated it and Vince and Cookie laughed as I struggled to enjoy it. That and I managed to get it on my skirt, hair and cookie's hair while devouring it..Typical.

Then on Monday I went again. Well this time to Mornington Crescent for KOKO. Managed to score two tickets to see Mika, Courteeners and JLS for free for the Album Chart Show. Went with Vince as I thought he would like it (he did). As it was live recording though it ran late. Doors opened at half 7 not 6..Brr, was snowing as well when we were outside.

Inside was okie, and was enjoying myself til JLS came on. My goodness, I took an instant dislike to them and it got worst as I realized that they were lip syncing and doing very dodgy dance moves. I cried when they had to re do the entire set.
I was so happy when Mika came on. I loved him before, but now I would happily be a mindless drone for him. He was quirky. He was a natural on stage. His voice was a-maze-zing. I am in love. Seriously.

Pictures came out good to!

Last was Courteeners. Not my favourite indie act out there, but they had talent (and an army of groupies it seems).

All in all. A great few days in my favourite place in London. You can guess where you can find me if I am out of bed now!

Satori..how tasty

After a hard day of avoiding placement work and then going swimming with Smi in the Kingston Pools..

I was glad to go and eat.

Smi's housemate decided to go to Satori. It is a Japanese Resturant that is like Yo!Sushi- with a dearer price tag. It was good. I was happier when I discovered we get 20% discount being student. Gosh, I will miss that concept of the nursing course!

Mustard Bar and a double Birthday!

Fun times is always on the horizonwhen one hangs with certain people. In my case those people are Nash and Sunshine-Two brilliant friends from Uni.
They decided to have a joint birthday in a place called "Mustard Bar" near St Paul's. For a set fee, there was promises of male strippers, free drinks, a table reserved and the enterance fee included..

Everyone was invited, and it seems everyone turned up-even Dolly!

We sat around socialising..Smi and Kalpana did everyone's make up and Natasha took it upon herself to change my outfit, Dolly looked..well like a Dolly and Sarha laughed and danced.

It took a while before a cab was called and we piled in to go to the club. Between the cabbie lack of direction and Nash's harsh tongue, it took a while to get there. I was glad to pile out.

First impressions of the club was that it was overpriced. Music was okie, but the bar was a rip off. The company was ace though, and I stayed til the end. Belly came with Vince (though left soon after) and Smi had to go back to Kingston with Veronica.

At the end of the night I discovered I had forgot my purse so was near stranded. Thankfully there was a cool guy that give me a lift home with another friend (Of a friend). Whew. He lived really near me as well so was really nice.
Was glad to get into bed at the end. Drunk, tired, but satifiyed extremely..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASH!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARHA!
LOVE TO YOU BOTH :)

Work and no play makes Cat unhappy..

-Sigh-
Exams are on the horizon and have my nose to the grindstone in learning maths, memorising drugs and trying to complete my final essay...
I am stressed. I am unhappy. I am a final year student.

Hmm, I am not the only one that is feeling teary eyed though-everyone is. This is why this happened:

Yes, sweet, smart Smi decided to lead the pack into teaching us Maths and aiding us with learning.
Well, most of us..I decided my gameboy was more interesting (typical!)

Questions she gave us included:

A client is ordered 37.5 milligrams of Dothiepin. 75 milligram tablets are available. How many tablets will you give?

A client is ordered 35 milligrams of Codeine phosphate by subcutaneous injection. 50 milligrams in 1 millilitre of liquid for SC Injection is available. How many millilitres will you administer?

A client is ordered 2.5 milligrams of Promethazine hydrochloride orally. 5 milligrams in 5 millilitres of elixir is available. How many millilitres will you administer?

Urgh.

We did have some form of play though...
After a hard session we went out for a meal in Nandos..It was nice and relexed, though Dolly had a mini argument with her parents for staying out to late to study..:(

It was nice after. Crashed at Smi's for days after. Poor her.

Any excuse for the Uni Bar!

Okie, as this is the last term of the last year, and possibly the last time to enjoy the Uni bar, I thought I would put all the good times to remind us of all the fun that was had there...
1. The Pool tables that Belinda lost her virginity on (in playing pool of course!) The game betw
een her and Smi lasted ageeess. Me and Natasha played 2 games then I played Shane in the time it took those two to complete it..:P EVIDENCE:

2.The subway fun we have. Always with the "Sub of the Day". Cheap and so very Tasty.

3. The jokes we have there:

4. The fact we can occasionly study in there (as well as eat!)

(Well, if we want to..)

5.The card games..Snap, blackjack and BULLSHITE..Or as Aster shows..the DS

6.The comfy Sofas and goodio music played. MTV Eat your heart
And yes, this is where I have been living since I came back in Feb..

Anyway: Gossip..None for you.Get off the internet and find out for yourselves! :)

So, Do I look good with Makeup and Smiles..

Okie, so the situation is this. Hard, boring lecture in the Morning, which confuses everyone, and a trip to the Uni Bar. There is another lecture, an invite to Putney at 7.30 and a boyfriend wanting to meet you.. So what did I do..? Skipped the last lecture, hid in the bar playing card games, met John with Belinda. Ran from John with Belinda to Kingston. Realise how silly I was being so phoned John to meet at Smi's house and then hurry on to see Smi.Smi was hyped as usual, which more then made up for John's Silence (The poor Man was tired from cycling..)

Anyway, they all got along well..
Hmm, When John left to go to Putney, I found a bottle of Alchol on Smi's room. 30mins later I was happily tispy, with Belinda helping me destroy the classical 90's songs and dances

All about -Spice Girls -Billie -Aqua -AllSaints ...

(others As well..Cannot recall them now..:]) When Smi was ready, we departed to Putney. Rolo, Harry,Tom, Missy P and her friend was there..Not that it mattered.

I was so tispy, I was only really talking to Smi, Belly and Harry..

They were the ones nearest to me after all! Hmm, Had to leave quite early though for Lectures..So after an hour we left.. And if you are wondering what happened to John..His bike broke down, so he had to get his Sister to pick him up..And so missed it all..

So SMI had a little house partry then

Being into new adventures this term, when Smi invited me to her House party, I was not about to say anything other then yes. Hm, I dragged Belly with me after lectures to come with me,but as we had 4 hours before the party and little money, It was a bit awkward. Still, after looking around Kingston for the millionth time, we decided to go up to Seven King's. Glad we did. Not only was there a massive Sainsbury's up there, which had cheap food and beer, but a pub. Not just any pub. One that had free jazz and indie band nights. We even had a chance to see one of the bands. Fair enough they were not the best by any stretch of the imagination (they were heavy metal. Decided to swap talent for the joy of screaming lyrics at the poor audience), but Still..Fun to pass the time.
A guy also gave me Candy. He was there to promote the band and sell the CD's, thought he was crap at it. Told me to save my money and he hated them..When questioned further, he admitted he listened to "Old School Rap".I was horrified..
Hmm, Anyway, the pub was only a pit stop for us,before going onwards to Smi's..

This is what greeted us as we worked in..Felt grateful I do as it asked!

The party itself was okie. Didn't care to much for the DJ, who seemed to be in love with Mr Justin Timberlake..

But the people were sweet.
Mixed with everyone and drank loads..

This was me at the Party..

And Belinda in the same event..

Ah ha. Bless.

Was also blessed with the presence of Sahra as well. Hmm, it was a laugh..Though Sahra and Belinda had to go home early, it was lovely..
(the Traitors! Sarah's B/F collected them. Nice one..)
There was also Mr Harry, who helped me on my quest to write the names of people on their Arms-Me in english, him drawing the Chinese sign of their name.

It made a good partner ship.

Smi was being her usual Hyper self. She got drunk quite early on, and so was bullying others to dance and drink as well.

There was about 30-40 people just mixing with everyone else..
(Called her Strawberry. Godness knows why..:] )

There was quite a lot of drink out, and Kessang (the birthday Girl) was cooking nice food.

And of course there was the tasty Birthday cake and Champagne (Smi Stole it, I swear!)

There was also a cute guy called Oreo.. I called him Jeff. He was Greek, very smart and Polite. He was also brought up in Canada for a while so knew French..

At the end of the house Party about 2 in the Morning, me, smi and the other Housemates stayed at his place. He made us Greek salad

...and in t
he Morning, woke me and Smi up at half 7 for lectures at 9. I loved him for it <3.>
Hmm, Was dead in the lectures..Worth it though..:)

Anyway:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSY KESSANG!
