What a way to spend a Sunday!

It is not often I get asked to play the role of Bob the Builder..In fact most people that know how much mess I can create just walking, generally avoid asking me to do anything which involves liquid,food or cleaning.
Unfortunately for Gina, she did not know this when she asked me to help her paint her new flat.
I arrived with the best intentions. I even had a little house warming gift of wine.



.Still it did not stop most of the paint getting on me, rather then the walls as was intended.


Hmm, Nana was there as well as Gina's friend Georgina.



There was the whole flat to paint-(5 rooms) and one half done when I got there..


This was only a few of the tins we used for the room..Sad timess




I discovered 3 main things that day:

1. Being the tallest has the disadvantages of being able to paint the ceiling
2. While painting the ceiling, paint is drawn to drip into your eyes, hair and (more importantly) mouth.
3. Paint tastes really, really bad.

I also discovered turning your back to Nana after pretending to throw paint at her is a bad idea. Her revenge was swift..

Still, Gina called for a break and ordered pizza

It managed to comfort my taste buds enough to try to tackle another room.

When we were finished (the paint was almost gone. Nana was leaving, and the walls needed to dry before the next coat) two rooms were completed. I thou.ght it good for a few hours work!

Watch this space..We need to buy pretty decorations next!
